Executive Warrior Course
Due to the increase in domestic and geopolitical uncertainty, Osprey Training Facility and The Council Gun Club have meticulously crafted a course geared for executives/ leaders to build resiliency, teamwork and preparedness against possible threats to themselves and family. We have built an expert team composed of members/ former members of military special operations units, law enforcement, human performance specialists, cognitive/ mental health specialists, and other leaders in their fields. In the two day course, participants will be pushed mentally and physically in an extensive curriculum which will include firearms, medical, situational awareness, self defense, and further training which will prepare them for most threats they may encounter. Once at site, all food, lodging and transportation is included in the course, and the course can be tailored to best fit your team.
Participants in the Executive Warrior Course undergo an intensive, multi-disciplinary training regimen designed to build real-world capability under stress. Key training blocks include:
- Precision pistol
- Carbine / low-light engagements
- Tactical combat casualty care (TCCC)
- Close-quarter combatives
- Night-vision and reduced-light shooting
In addition, we’ve partnered with iFLY Wilmington to integrate their state-of-the-art Conflict Kinetics simulator, providing advanced force-on-force and dry-fire decision-making scenarios in a fully immersive, 300-degree environment.

2-Gun Competitions
Osprey Training Facility and The Council Gun Clun in Council, NC, hosts regular 2-gun matches through PractiScore, blending live-fire challenges with their 100+ acre setup for carbine, pistol, and low-light drills. Events are open to the public for posted dates only, with registration via PractiScore for scoring, squadding, and results.
What Are 2-Gun Competitions?
2-gun competitions are a dynamic subset of practical shooting sports, where participants engage targets using two primary firearms: typically a handgun and a carbine. These events emphasize speed, accuracy, and seamless transitions between weapons, often in simulated real-world scenarios. Unlike single-discipline matches (e.g., pistol-only USPSA or rifle-only 3-gun), 2-gun focuses on versatility with just these two platforms, making it accessible for shooters building skills in multi-tool proficiency.
Guided Hunts
Experience the thrill of classic Southern wingshooting with guided bird hunts at The Council Gun Club. Set on over 180 acres of meticulously managed fields and woodlands just minutes from Wilmington, our guided quail and pheasant hunts offer an authentic, low-pressure adventure perfect for novice hunters, seasoned sportsmen, corporate groups, or family outings.
Led by expert guides and supported by highly trained pointing and retrieving dogs, each half-day or full-day hunt includes birds released for fair chase, safety briefing, all necessary gear (or bring your own shotgun), and professional instruction to ensure a safe and successful day in the field.
